چکیده

The cultivar selection and nitrogen (N) fertilization are key management factors to improve potato yield. aim of the present study was evaluate ecophysiological determinants biomass tuber yield in genotypes response N availability under field conditions. Experiments 1 2 were carried out a volcanic soil southern Chile during 2021–2022 season. Treatments applied factorial combination (i) fifteen potatoes (ii) three rates (0, 200 400 kg ha−1, 0 N, respectively). A wide range total dry matter (5.9–22.1 Mg DM ha−1) (5.1–18.3 observed across experiments. In both experiments, affected by rate (p < 0.05) genotype 0.01), but not their interaction > 0.05). Tuber strongly related (R2 = 0.94, p 0.01) weakly harvest index (HI). explained radiation use efficiency (RUE) 0.69–0.75, 0.01). principal components analysis showed that yield, RUE related. Finlay Wilkinson revealed different cultivars varied significantly 0.001) sensitivity availability. Across environments (3 × experiments), most responsive Pukara, Rodeo, Asterix Patagonia. This information will be useful for production systems aimed at improving efficiency.
